Wong Died!

Jam 9.30 pagi tadi SMS A Kie masuk:

Kabar Duka Cita, teman kita Wong Bak Wei meninggal ditembak sama orang tak dikenal kemarin pagi di Johor Baru.....

O my God...Kaget banget aku. selanjutnya balas berbalas SMS sama teman-teman untuk cari tahu duduk perkaranya. Ternyata kabar itu bener.

Pertemanan aku sama Wong biasa aja, hangat hangat tahi ayam. For me, dia cukup menyebalkan. Dia pernah dibentak sama CEOnya salah satu perusahaan produsen Mie instant terkenal karena asal nyelutuk, dan ada beberapa kisah lain yang aku sekarang ingat-ingat. But however, thats part of life journey. Wish the family can cope with this. Met jalan Bak Wei.....

Man shot dead execution-style in front of wife

JOHOR BARU: A Sarawakian liquor dealer was shot dead execution-style in front of his wife and sister along the busy Pesiaran Molek yesterday.
Wong Bak Wei, 42, his wife and sister were on their way to Taman Molek from their home in Taman Permas Jaya at about 10am when their car was knocked on the right side by a vehicle going in the same direction.

Thinking it was a minor accident, Wong stopped by the roadside as did the driver of the other car.

As Wong alighted to check the damage to his car, the driver of the other vehicle got out and walked towards him and fired a single shot to his right temple.

Initial investigations revealed that the gunman's motive was to kill Wong and not robbery.
The gunman did not take anything from Wong's wife and sister or from their car. Instead, he walked back to his car and drove off.

Police have not ruled out the possibility of a hired gunman and that the murder was carefully planned.

It is believed that the gunman, who may have had an accomplice, had followed Wong from his house before seeing the opportunity to move in for the kill.

Police are investigating the case from various angles, including business rivalry, revenge or road rage.

Seri Alam police chief Superintendent Roslan Zainuddin, when met at the scene, said Wong had died on the spot.

Wong's body was sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a post-mortem.

His wife and sister, whose identities have been withheld, are in shock and not yet able to give police the description of the gunman. They also cannot remember the registration number or model of the car used by the gunman.

"They only told us that it happened very fast," Roslan said.

Wong has a factory manufacturing liquor and wine in Sarawak. He has been supplying his products to entertainment outlets in Johor Baru for several years.
